Air Liquide also uses other natural resources of gas to produce other gases caused by chemical reaction of their clients' usage (hydrogen, carbon dioxide, acetylene, helium, ozone, carbon monoxide.
The SENIOR FOOD ENGINEER will use Engineering and other sciences to develop new or improved ways to process, package, preserve, store, and distribute food using Air Liquide products & services.
-Research ways to make processed foods safe, palatable, healthful, and more energy-efficient;
-Study the principles underlying the processing and deterioration of foods; Study methods to improve aspects of foods, such as chemical composition, flavor, color, texture, nutritional value, and convenience.
-Understand food standards and production specifications, safety and sanitary regulations, and waste management and water supply specifications.
-Confer with process engineers, plant operators, flavor experts, packaging, and marketing specialists to resolve problems and deliver solutions in food/beverage.
As a researcher, the individual will perform the following responsibilities:
-Define scientific and technical specifications for research experiments
-Be a technical lead and drive innovation in their field of expertise
-Take active participation in project planning
-Support technical transfer of projects
-Serve as a safety role model, maintaining high safety standards and promoting improvements
-Work closely with internal market groups and industry partners or customers
-Willingness to travel to internal/external customer sites and AL R&D centers.
-Individuals are expected to have a strong link to academia, associations and industry. Peer reviewed publications or patents to demonstrate their capabilities will be a plus.
