Diana Food is part of Symrise, a leading supplier of ingredients to FMCG manufacturers worldwide. We have an immediate opportunity for a highly motivated scientist to work with us in a senior R&D scientist position located in Rennes, France. As part of a global team, you will conduct applied research & development in the area of natural Food Colours which will lead to new products & processes, in response to market & consumer needs.
Your responsibilities will include
Delivering agreed projects for customers around the world by working as part of project teams with other business functions such as Sales, Marketing, Operations & Regulatory;
Networking internationally with other R&D teams in the Symrise Group and external partners to ensure the best R&D resources are used in our projects;
Supporting ongoing business through continuous improvement activities and providing help and advice to Sales teams around the world;
Provides scientific leadership for technical programs that research and create innovative natural colours in alignment with our business strategy.
The successful candidate will have:
A strong scientific background in the Biological, Engineering, Chemical or Physical Sciences;
2-5 years’ experience in developing natural solutions in all market segments including beverage, dairy, confection, meat, sauces, dressings and baking;
Strong general knowledge in developing solutions requiring complex formulations;
