A small scale dairy farmer is requesting the assistance of an Expert Cheese Maker to help them expand their business to include quality artisanal cheeses. The selected volunteer would provide training on types of cheeses, milk pasteurization and skimming techniques, information on temperature and moisture control regimes in addition to best practices in cheese storage and extending shelf life. The assignment will last for approximately three weeks in country. Travel arrangements, travel costs and living expenses will be provided.
Qualified candidates will receive a scope of work which will provide more details about the host beneficiary and the assignment.
University degree in food science, dairy processing or related field
Approximately 10 years of experience in dairy processing or cheese production
Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel
