A small milk processing factory is looking for assistance from a Dairy Processing Specialist to provide training on dairy processing technology, packaging, quality control, hygiene, milk collection and distribution, among other topics.
While in-country, the Volunteer will:
Conduct a quick assessment of the dairy processing structure and facilities, evaluate skills of employees responsible for milk processing, and provide necessary trainings for milk processors skills improvement.
Conduct milk processing trainings including demonstrations on the production of cheese, kefir, sour cream, etc.
Train the technical staff in maintaining high standards of biosafety, including hygiene for dairy processing equipment, tools, and utensils.
This assignment will last for approximately 3 weeks including travel time. Travel, lodging and meals will be provided.
University degree in Food Technology or another related topic
At least 5 years of experience in dairy processing- milk, kefir, sour cream, yogurt
Experience in milk collection, processing and packaging
Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel
