A medium sized processing association in the Republic of Georgia is requesting technical assistance from a Nut Processing Specialist to assist them in improving their processing of Almonds and Walnuts. The selected specialist will provide training on nut processing, pre-cleaning, hulling, shelling, kernel grading, blanching and skin separating.
This assignment will last approximately 3 weeks including travel time. This assignment is made possible through the Farmer to Farmer Program, sponsored by USAID. Travel, lodging and meals will be provided.
University degree in Horticulture or another related topic
At least 5 years of experience processing tree nuts
Previous experience with walnuts or almonds
Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel
