The Director of Product Development Commercialization is a brand new, very awesome role at Impossible Foods. The Product Development Commercialization team primarily works on scaling up new products and manufacturing processes. You would be responsible for a large, super smart team working on the technical challenge of scaling and maintaining Impossible Foods products (aka the coolest products in the world). You would report to the VP of Product Development Commercialization, and would play a big role in developing our strategy for technical programs, resourcing and execution of new products. We are looking for people with an enthusiasm for science and passion about creating products to change the world.
Lead a team of up to 35 people responsible for the technical challenge of scaling up and maintaining Impossible’s products.
You are a strong scientist who provides both technical leadership and career development to junior and senior level scientists within the Product Development team.
Develop strategy for technical programs, problem solving, and resourcing.
Curate a productive, safe, rigorous and collaborative environment for your team to execute on ambitious goals on even more ambitious timelines.
PhD Food Science or a related field.
15+ yrs experience working in food product commercialization at Senior Scientist/Sr. Manager level.
Inspiring, organized leader, competent navigating complex technical and team challenges.
Ability to thrive in a diverse, dynamic team.
Self-starter that is naturally curious and enjoys working in a fast-past environment.
