The goal of this roles is to win business and market share with major CPG food businesses and build our corporate sales competency and business activity. The corporate sales manager will originate relationships with major CPG Food manufacturers, engage in commercial negotiations to provide our Green Field Solutions suite of services and manage initiatives and projects that profitably bring raw materials under management. Work closely with the Green Field Solutions team of commercial managers and sustainability staff plan and implement client solutions. Support core IIC business and R & D initiatives by gaining access to strategic raw materials for feed and pet food markets. Facilitate all activities associated with the account management and project management processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Originate, develop, win and be primary relationship manager for commercial activity with targeted major CPG Food manufacturers.
Participate in the development of Green Field Solutions’ sales and marketing strategy.
Increase Green Field Solutions’ corporate sales competency by working closely with the commercial manager staff and sustainability personnel and build our institutional capability to serve major CPG Food manufacturers.
Negotiate for and implement contractual relationships that provide access to raw materials and ingredient items in support of the Green Field Solutions business and IIC’s core business and R & D Initiatives.
Develop Green Field Solutions suite of products & services.
Develop and maintain key relationships within target strategic verticals as assigned (confections, meats, snacks & bakery, etc.).
Work with R & D, Green Field Solutions commercial managers, and operations to build new products and product platforms around strategic vendor raw materials.
Manage deal features and profitability of strategic accounts.
Negotiate and execute new contractual relationships with targeted major CPG Food manufacturers.
Prepare for and participate in periodic progress reviews.
Participate in the Green Field Solutions and IIC budgeting processes according to responsibilities.
Communicate raw material cost as it pertains to strategic accounts.
Perform related tasks as requested, grow into additional responsibilities.
