EverGrain is an ingredient venture whose purpose is to make products healthier, taste better, and more sustainable. The business was launched by Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2019 and features new technology that repurposes brewer’s grain – barley – to produce plant protein ingredients. EverGrain is expanding operations in North America and Europe, and building related operations and commercial leadership teams.
As part of this growth plan, EverGrain seeks to hire a Technical Sales Manager to own and execute our commercial strategy and sales activities for our food ingredients in North America. You will drive our technical sales in the West Coast region, partnering with our R&D, product, and marketing teams. We are looking for a passionate results-oriented leader, who will develop long-term relationships with our key accounts and distributors to sell and promote our products.

This role reports to Chief Sales Officer.
Own day to day relationship with EverGrain’s customers and distributors, including developing and delivering presentations
Provide first line technical support, collaborating with EverGrain’s R&D team as needed
Maintain, analyze, and report on customer relationship management data
Build and maintain an understanding of customer feedback and requirements, sharing with product, R&D, and Operations teams to inform prioritization of customer needs
Collaborate with Applications team on sales execution of technical requirements, ensuring a shared understanding of the Voice of the Customer and customer priorities
Design, develop and execute product pricing strategy for customer accounts
Execute on Annual Sales Plan
Work with Sales Operations to ensure efficient execution of delivery estimates/timelines
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science
An advanced degree is beneficial
5+ years related experience in commercial technical sales management, with significant network of established contacts in Food and Beverage industry
Strong nutrition/food experience in fast paced food ingredient environment
Flourishes in a venture environment, and ability to thrive in an Agile framework
Global sustainability mindset
Strong leadership, influencing, and analytical skills
Strong project management and reporting skills, familiarity with CRM systems
Strong knowledge of FMCG (and Contract Manufacturing) space and customer needs in a B2B environment
Strong interpersonal skills and customer relationship management
Basic mastery of food science fundamentals
Comfortable stepping in and rolling-up his / her sleeves when necessary
Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and comfortable with making and learning from mistakes
Ability to operate across different cultural realities, having a strong skill to bridge cultural differences
Strong business acumen
Significant travel expected in post covid environment
