This role will support the Perrigo Nutrition business in Georgia, Vermont.

Job Responsibilities:

Improve efficiency, lower costs, and improve product quality.
Identify, define, and develop new process analytical techniques and capabilities.
Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce overall production costs, while improving overall manufacturing efficiency.
Perform process analytics (mass balance etc.) and identify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce overall production costs (including waste avoidance), while improving overall manufacturing efficiency.
Realize scale up / industrialization with Manufacturing and Quality departments.
Facilitate root-cause analysis to address identified losses and departmental KPI scorecard gaps.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or closely related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in process and value engineering in the food industry or closely related is strongly preferred.
Experience and knowledge in common food and dairy unit operations, infant formula manufacturing and knowledge of spray drying a plus.

Competencies & Skills:

Ability to work independently.
Organized, observant, interpersonal skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional projects across the organization. Ability to develop and manage project timelines, ensuring that all project milestones are met.
Knowledge of and experience with technology tools to support the function including excellent computer skills such as process modeling, CAD, Microsoft Suite environment etc.
Ability to perform adjustments to equipment and able to perform various types of manual tasks if needed.
