As the DTV Associate Manager, Claims and Product Experience, you will be a part of the Design to Value (DTV) department within RD&E. In this role you will focus on design to value projects that are cost savings while not negatively impacting the consumer experience or product claims. As a member of DTV (Design To Value) you will work on global project and work cross-functionally with other departments including, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, and external suppliers. Some of the household brands you would be working with are Glade®, Raid®, Off®, Windex®, Scrubbing Bubbles®, Pledge® and Ziploc®. In this position you will support the sensory and consumer testing needs of Design To Value (DTV) and lead global projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review project scopes and recommends appropriate test designs & methodologies including associated costs and timing required to execute
Search and synthesize prior sensory and consumer research that may set the context and accelerate new project execution
Actively participates in team meetings and provides feedback as needed
Work effectively with regional and global cross functional teams and external research suppliers
Works closely with on-site external sensory supplier in the design and execution of sensory research
Write technical reports and maintain relative project data findings
Stays up to date on new approaches and best practices within sensory and consumer research
Required Skills / Experience/ Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in food science, psychology, market research or related field
Minimum 5 years (3 years with master’s degree) in Sensory and Consumer research experience across a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies
Experience working with regulated products desirable
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Master’s degree with emphasis in Sensory Science preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Subject matter expert of consumer and sensory methodologies
Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and be able to work effectively within regional and global cross functional teams
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrates high level of accountability and self-direction
Strong knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative consumer test methodologies
Strong knowledge of sensory descriptive analysis methodologies and discrimination methodologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including timely follow-up and commitment to deliverables
Lead custom global and regional consumer research through design, execution, analyses, and recommendations
Experience creating or using DOE - Design of Experiments
Knowledgeable on questionnaire design and scaling
Experience with testing of regulated products & IRB test protocols desirable (Institutional Review Boards)
Highly attentive to details
