Role:

This role is a sales and marketing position that has the responsibility for the overall achievement of company sales and growth. Knowledge of aroma chemicals, extracts and essential oils targeting flavors and fragrances. A Keen knowledge of chemical sales, including distribution, financial, marketing, procurement. Introducing the company and chemical portfolio to potential customers and current customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop a customer base and establish long term relationships with ingredient, flavor and fragrance companies.
• Serve customers by selling aroma chemicals and meeting customer’s needs.
• Servicing existing and new accounts, obtain orders and establishes new accounts.
• Planning and organizing schedules to call on existing or potential new accounts.
• Prepare sales presentations to attract new customers and retain existing customers.
• Have a good understanding of the competition and existing price structures of the market.
• Keep management informed by submitting weekly highlights and account summaries.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules and marketing techniques.
• Recommends changes in product, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Resolves customer complaints by analyzing root cause and making corrective action recommendations.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending trade shows, reviewing the literature and establishing personal networks and participating in Professional societies.
• Provides Historical records by maintaining records on territory and customer sales.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or chemistry. An MBA would be a plus.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the aroma chemical business, including flavors, fragrance and ingredient sales.
• Able to work remotely and travel to customers and conferences. Travel to Headquarters for monthly and quarterly meetings.
• Have a high standard of ethics and presentation skills in developing client relationships.
• Have prospecting skills, negotiation and product knowledge.
